General Rule, Para 4,
Amend drive battery wording to enable cost effective micro racing
The exact wording of the rule after proposal has been approved will be as proposed.
Current Wording
ALL Lithium based ‘drive’ batteries used in ALL Sections must have a hard, protective case that completely envelopes the cell(s).
Proposed wording
ALL Lithium based ‘drive’ batteries, over 20wh, used in ALL Sections must have a hard, protective case that completely envelopes the cell(s).
The proposal passed with 39 votes for, and 9 votes against, meaning that BRCA sanctioned mini/micro RC events, and BRCA affiliated clubs can now allow the use of softcased LiPo’s that offer a watt-hour value of 20wh or less.
RCMicroX would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported this proposal as well as Darren, Jim and Chris at the BRCA for their assistance in getting the proposal to the table.
